New Wargaming3D is Coming!

Wargaming3D is joining MiniHoarder on Plaza, the new Playable Prints platform.

What's new (since the minihoarder.com launch) ?

If you missed the launch of new minihoarder.com last November, you can catch up on what we said here https://playableprints.com/news/20241018-newminihoarder

Since then we've been working hard to improve the standard of creator and customer experiences, and so the core components of Wargaming3D are all available: account management, shop front and discounts.

For customers, we’ve got a few cool little features for you:

• Taxes are automatically included as you shop, so you shouldn’t ever be surprised by the checkout price being different to the storefront price.
• Discounts are automatically applied on the site, so you’ll never forget to apply the code again!
• The attributes filter is an “and” filter, so you can refine your searches just like with Orynt3D, to hunt down the perfect 1/56 Sherman Tank you can print with an FDM printer, for your next display!

What's new for our Wargaming3D creator community are brand balances, product bundles, model distribution and multi-site posting.

Brand Balances

As a creator, instead of having to work your way through ticking each commission for extraction, you can now simply request an amount from your available balance.

Product Bundles

You can now group multiple products together to be sold as a bundle, and if you decide to update any of the original products, the bundle files will also be updated!

Model distribution

As a creator you can now fulfill your kickstarters and patreons directly from WG3D, with the same products and files you would use to sell anyway. As a customer (current or potential), you'll be notified when this happens and can log in to grab you new files at your leisure!

Multi-site posting

Back in 2023 we announced a plan to allow creators to have a single account for all our brands and to be able to upload once and have their creations available to be purchased on multiple sites and mass distributed with ease.

Any content uploaded to Wargaming3D can now automatically appear on more than just Wargaming 3D, based on the tags attached to the models. Everything with genre:historical will appear on Wargaming3D, and anything that also includes type:terrain or type:building tags will now automatically appear on our other site MiniHoarder.

Can I play with it before it goes live?

Absolutely! For the next week, the new site is available in test mode, with a few restrictions:

• Actions taken on the test mode now will not affect current www.wargaming3d.com and will be wiped when the migration is done on 2025-02-17.
• Previous downloadable files (and most of the product images) have not yet been migrated, so while you can view existing purchases, you may not have any downloads available.

Purchases are made using Stripe which is currently in test mode. You can find test credit card numbers here: https://docs.stripe.com/testing, feel free to experiment with them!

If you have an existing minihoarder account you can log in directly. If you have a wargaming3d account, simply reset your password (this will not reset your current wargaming3d.com site password), or sign up for a new account to get started.

What is MiniHoarder?

MiniHoarder.com is just like Wargaming3D, but primarily focused on sci-fi and fantasy tabletop gaming and roleplaying.

So is WG3D changing focus?

No, we have purposely designed our systems to ensure Wargaming 3D can maintain it's historical wargaming focus. Any non-historical models (that do not have the tag genre:historic) will automatically be shown on MiniHoarder. This allows us to keep Wargaming 3D focused what our customer community knows us for best: historical wargaming.

What is the next site?

We have created a platform where we can create new sites and use tag rules to fill that sites' inventory for sales. If you have an idea on a niche site that you believe the market is calling out for, let us know and we will give you a 3 months free front page advertising if we create it :)

Could the next site by mine?

The multi-site nature of the platform also means we can create sites for just your brand! We are looking into the options and charge costs that allow you as a creator to have a site with your brands content and logo in addition to multi-posting onto our other sites, still with the same single login and brand balance.

What's next?

We'll continue to evolve and improve the site design, both the creator backoffice and the customer experience.

For customers, our roadmap is focused on delivering models to you in the best way we can. This means Orynt3D integration and improving internal library management features, after that we’d like to get into gift cards and multicurrency purchases.

For creators, we want to make sure the features we have are sufficiently flexible to make your workflows easy, before extending too far into new features. This means ensuring new models can be bulk uploaded and edited, bundles can have a cover image set, brand balance can be used to purchase PPL offerings (e.g. front page adverts) and get the reviews back into to the store (don't worry, we still have them all)!
